WHAT WE DO
- 1. Focus on Public Safety
- Strengthen and Support Law Enforcement: Ensure adequate funding and resources for police departments, emphasizing training and community policing initiatives, community building and enforcing the current laws.
- Crime Prevention: Address the root causes of crime by focusing on substance abuse treatment, mental health services, and youth intervention programs.
- Safe Communities: Invest in public lighting, surveillance technology, and well-maintained public spaces to deter crime and improve neighborhood safety.
- Expanding insurance coverage for graveyard shift employees in retail or public service employees facing crimes. 2. Support Pro-Business Policies
- Reduce unnecessary regulations while maintaining essential safeguards for employees and consumers.
- Offer tax incentives lol for small businesses and startups to encourage job creation and innovation. 3. Expanding Tax Base
- Attract and retain businesses and residents by emphasizing safety, quality of life, and a supportive business environment.
- Implement taxation policies that encourage growth and employee compensation without overburdening families or businesses.
- Provide tax incentives for businesses for hiring employees instead of replacing them with technology. 4. Strengthen Local Economies
- Invest in transportation and infrastructure to attract businesses and increase accessibility.
- Promote “buy local and support local” initiatives to keep dollars circulating within the community and support small businesses
WHY IT MATTERS
At Dreamland PAC, we recognize retail crime and theft are hurting small businesses, costing jobs, and putting employees and customers at risk from assault, harassment, and violence. Many businesses are forced to close or relocate because of safety concerns and high operating costs like rising insurance and security expenses, making our communities less competitive.
